Saint Patrick’s Day Gain

St. Patrick’s Day rallied the S&P 500 by gaining 0.96% which recovered almost half of last week’s loss. Tuesday the S&P 500 gained 0.72% or 13.42 points. Wednesday was a reversal, the S&P 500 rode a downwind to 0.60%. Apprehension diminished Thursday as investors were inline with economic data and the S&P 500 was on par with Wednesday’s losses, gaining 0.60%. Even though stocks were initially higher, Friday bought the reversal back, the S&P 500 closed down 0.30%. For the week the S&P 500 gained 0.41%.
